When Certis Biologicals Offers Free Product

My former biopesticide company offered buy five of a specific fungal biopesticide product and you get one specific fungal biopesticide product for free. If a company offers you this deal, stay far, far away from these products and business.


Most companies that offer this type of deal are either not doing well and they want to increase sales or they have expired or expiring products either due to the lack of sales or improper storage to give away for free because they don't want to throw it out. It could even be the combination of both reasons. Companies that are doing well and have quality products rarely offer deals or give away stuff for free. I'm talking specifically about small businesses. 


The specific fungal product they are giving away for free takes a week to ferment. This fungal product is made through liquid fermentation. Think about it! Why would they give this product away for free? It's labor intensive and time consuming to produce. It doesn't make sense.


Remember, fungal products do not last more than a few months at room temperature and maybe a year refrigerated no matter the formulation. That is based on my experience doing stability studies for this company when I used to work there. This company claims it lasts two years at room temperature. That is a lie! They are probably giving it away for free because the efficacy probably went down due to improper storage, is close to expiration, or is expired.

Certis Biologicals CEO

Certis Biologicals had a news release about acquiring new products from AgBiome recently. I noticed there was an interim CEO mentioned in the news release, and he was the previous CEO. I think the current CEO, Amy O'Shea got fired for performing her job poorly. I am not surprised. She was a horrible CEO, and the company wasn't the same when she was hired. She was the reason why so many incompetent management existed. She was incompetent herself. I was surprised she lasted this long. I would have fired her a long time ago if I was part of the board. She wasn't focused on making revenue. She was focused on trivial things like cutting costs or office renovations. They hired so many unnecessary employees just to stand around and talk all day. They didn't hire the necessary essential employees when needed at a desperate time. The company is really quiet about this, and they are not making an announcement about her dismissal.
